@divya_p Not always. A breast lump can happen for different reasons, and many of them are not cancer. Sometimes it can be related to hormonal changes, a cyst, or some other non-cancerous breast condition. But even though every lump is not breast cancer, it is still something that should not be ignored. The important thing is to get it checked instead of guessing and worrying at home.

@divya_p It can still be worth getting checked, especially if it keeps happening, stays on one side, or just feels different from what you normally get. Pain alone does not usually point to breast cancer, but when something feels off and does not settle, it is better to have someone look at it than keep wondering. Even if it turns out to be nothing serious, at least you are not left sitting with the worrying at home

@archi_d Yes, that is how I understand it. A lot of these signs can look minor at first, which is why they get ignored. But if something in the mouth, throat, voice, or neck is not settling down normally, that is when it makes sense to get it checked instead of waiting too long.

@archi_d The changes people are usually asked to notice are a new lump in the breast or under the arm, skin dimpling or pulling, swelling, a change in breast shape, unusual nipple discharge, or the nipple turning inward when that was not normal before. Sometimes there can also be redness, flaky skin, or an area that feels thicker than usual. These signs do not prove it is cancer, but they are the kinds of changes that should be checked properly.

@archi_d It can happen when the cancer is growing in places like the throat, voice box, or nearby area and starts reducing the space air normally passes through. Sometimes it is not only the growth itself, but also swelling or irritation around it that adds to the problem. A person might notice noisy breathing, tightness in the throat, or feeling short of breath, especially if things have been getting worse over time.

Which physical findings suggest breast cancer? I know not every change means something serious, but what are the kinds of things people usually get told not to ignore?

@archi_d What if there is no lump at all and it is just pain, can it still be worth getting checked or do people usually wait it out?

Does finding a lump in your breast necessarily mean it is breast cancer? I think that is what scares most people first.
