Blood cancer, beyond affecting blood and bone marrow, can cause various health issues. It weakens the immune system, increasing susceptibility to infections due to a decrease in healthy white blood cells. Anemia, a result of low red blood cell levels, leads to symptoms like fatigue, weakness, and pale skin. Bleeding and clotting problems arise from decreased platelet production, causing easy bruising and prolonged bleeding.

Enlarged lymph nodes, spleen, or liver can occur, causing pain and discomfort. Bone pain and fractures may develop due to cancer cell infiltration or bone weakening. Additionally, treatments like chemotherapy and radiation therapy can raise the risk of secondary cancers later on.

Managing these health problems is vital for patients with blood cancer. Supportive care measures can help alleviate symptoms and improve overall well-being. It's essential for healthcare teams to address these issues alongside treating the cancer itself, ensuring patients receive comprehensive care tailored to their individual needs
