Smoking damages the skin and weakens the body’s natural ability to repair cells. This increases the risk of developing certain types of skin cancer, especially squamous cell carcinoma. It also makes the skin age faster, reduces immunity, and slows healing, which allows abnormal cells to grow more easily.
